Soft Face and Featherless

Soft Face and Featherless has been presented at Vancouver's BC Buds Festival, Accordion Noir Festival and the IGNITE! Theatre Festival in Calgary, Alberta.

Inspired by E.E. Cummings’ poem “It is funny, you will be dead some day,” and several personal encounters with birds, Soft Face and Featherless circles an exorbitant tale about a boy flung from the 1001th floor of a hospital. Often told from the perspective of a bird, the story is recklessly performed through a collage of thematically and texturally related images, songs, and interjections. Part rock concert, part surrealist melodrama, and part gothic barnyard poetry slam, Soft Face and Featherless  is a bodily exploration of descent, edges, birds, and inevitability.
