Massage therapy is a hands-on therapy requiring the therapist and patient to be in close personal contact. As such, it is possible to be exposed to the COVID-19 virus in this environment. I believe it is important to take reasonable precautions to reduce the risk of transmission of communicable disease within our community.

The following precautions will be taken to reduce this risk:

- Masks are to be worn for the duration of the appointment by both the RMT and patient, unless there is a valid health concern which prevents an individual from safely being able to wear a mask.

-Neither the RMT nor the patient is to  enter the clinic if sick or showing signs of communicable disease.

If you show signs of COVID-19, please cancel your appointment, and contact public health at 8-1-1 for direction on next steps as needed. You will not be charged a cancellation fee in the circumstance of suspected or confirmed communicable illness.

-Rooms will be ventilated as thoroughly as possible between appointments.

-Consistent and methodical cleaning protocols are followed between each patient appointment, and strict hand-washing regimens employed frequently.

-Adherence to the recommendations and guidelines from BC Centre for Disease Control, and the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia
